• WHAT IS IT? - DFC-L is an electronic forum for discussions among members of the Desert Fishes Council. It was started in January, 1996 with the objective of facilitating communications of ideas and problems of DFC members to better help them and the DFC fulfill its mission. List subscribers may send e-mail to DFC-L@utlists.utexas.edu which circulates their email to all subscribed to the list.


• WHO CAN PARTICIPATE IN DISCUSSIONS? - DFC-L is an open list, but only subscribers may send messages to the list. Subscribe via the list server web page (https://utlists.utexas.edu/sympa/subscribe/dfc-l) or by sending an empty email using this mailto link. Unsubscribe, change your email, view the archive, see the list of subscribers, and set reception and subscriber visibility preferences at the main list page (https://utlists.utexas.edu/sympa/info/dfc-l).


• HELP - Basic login help is available, and the more complete general lists help files should answer most questions users might have. Report any difficulties or send questions about the process to the DFC Membership Secretary (membership_at_desertfishes.org).


• ARCHIVES - The current archive (since March 24, 2008) can be viewed online by list subscribers. The old list, dfc-l@lists.cc.utexas.edu, was moved to the new server (above) on March 24, 2008. The old archives of that list (July 28, 2005 - through March 24, 2008) may remain active at mailarchive.com for a while, but how long is not controlled by DFC.

• QUE ES? - DFC-L es un foro electrónico para discusiones entre los miembros del Consejo de Peces del Desierto (CPD) aunque cualquiera persona interesado en la objetivo del CPD pueda suscribir. Comenzó a operar en Enero de 1996 con el objetivo de facilitar la comunicación de ideas y problemas de los miembros del CPD, lo cual facilita la ayuda y el cumplimiento de los objetivos del CPD. El correo electrónico enviado a DFC-L@utlists.utexas.edu se hace circular a todos suscritos a la lista.


• QUIENES PUEDEN PARTICIPAR EN LAS DISCUCIONES? - solo personas inscritas pueden enviar y recibir mensajes de la lista. Tu puedes inscribirte en la lista usando la página web de la lista (https://utlists.utexas.edu/sympa/subscribe/dfc-l) o por envio de un correo electrónico usando esta liga "mailto". Puedes quitar tu nombre de la lista, cambiar tu email inscrito, ver el archivo de la list o la lista de los otros inscritos, y ajustar varias preferencias de tu inscripción en la página principal de la lista (https://utlists.utexas.edu/sympa/info/dfc-l).


• AYUDA basica con el login está disponible y ayuda más completa se encuentra en ayuda general de listas. Favor de reportar dificultades y enviar preguntas a la Secretaría de Membresía del CPD (membership_at_desertfishes.org).


• La lista vieja, dfc-l@lists.cc.utexas.edu, fue reemplazado por la nueva (arriba) el 24 de marzo 2008. Los archivos viejos de la vieja lista de 28 de julio, 2005 a 24 de marzo 2008 permanecerán activos en mailarchive.com por un plazo indefinido (fuera del control del CPD).
